Ring of the Month

Scott gave me a ring!!!!!!! JK He actually did go with me and picked out the cute April ring of the month. I kind of waited a long time to get this months, so I'll have another one shortly--I already know which one I want for May.

update---continued

Jess went to a JUNO party the other night with her friends. They all dressed up like this---don't ask me why!!!!!

FASHION SHOW!!!! I rode down to Salt Lake with Bridgette, Jerilyn and Jackie. They were dressers at the show---I am so glad they were there! I felt a little out of place at first but then I got used to everything and it was a blast!!!! It was so strange as I was walking down the runway, I could see myself on the big screen. I have been stressing about it for so long that I can't believe it's over. I had such a great time!

Scott came down for the weekend and we took the kids bowling. I had no idea Matt was such a good bowler!!! Eli had so much fun until Scott got the kids fries, then he it was Heber's turn all the time!

OK I'm updating

  • Matt answered Maddy and went to the dance with her. He had a good time. All I could get out of him was that it was fun.

  • Scott flew me up to Oregon for the weekend. It was sooo fun. He lives with his sister, her husband and 6 kids. We just hung out with them, he drove me around to show me the houses he has built--I was very impressed! I had a great time. When I got home, the kids had painted the wall in the kitchen and it looked great!!!!

  • We have 3 peacocks hangin around the house and I took a pick because it was so pretty. I love to hear them crow--or whatever they do!

Field Trip to the Salt Lake City Library

I kept the middle boys home from school for a field trip. So Jack, Porter, Heber, Eli and I went to the Library. We met Scott's sister Trisha and her 5 kids there. It is an awesome funky building. It was totally cool. Dave was a little worried because of all the freaks and I'm glad he warned me about that because there were plenty there! We had fun reading books in the children's area, then walked through the art gallery-it was a photography display. I would love to get into photography--maybe someday when my life slows down, but by then I'll probably be too weak to hold up a camera! The kids loved going up and down on the glass elevator. We put so much trust in the structure of things and the strength of glass!!! It totally freaked me out--going up and down in the air being able to see everything--I have serious nightmares of that! We then went to Liberty park and sat on the grass and ate our lunch in between teeth chattering--it was freezing!!! When is this going to end!?

"Happy Birthday Dear Eli........"

APRIL 14th Eli's 3rd Birthday!!!!!! YAY!!!!! We had a fun day--going to get presents for him, baking a cake and opening presents! He went around the house saying "it's Eli's birthday!" He got lots of fun stuff but his favorite were the bubbles.

Conference Weekend

Sorry, I'm a bit late but you know what they say! (Dave would always ask his grandma when she'd say that---who's they?) My friend Scott came down from Oregon for the weekend and brought 3 of his neices. I kept the kids home that friday night so that we could all work in the yard on Sat. It ended up being too cold to work outside but I did get my trees pruned--thanks Dave! and I also got a new sink and faucet installed--thanks Scott! The kids had a great time together! We listened to conference, ate, milked the goat, played games, cleaned, did laundry--you know, the usual Saturday things. Conference was extremely wonderful as usual! Pres. Monson is a great man as are all the general authorities.

This week--nothing too exciting happened. Matt had 3 games--he won 2 but scored in everyone of them. His goal today was totally awesome!!!! His coach even let him play in the JV game with the long pole so when he held it straight up, it was like 15 feet in the air!!!

Matt's first......

Matt and I were home the other night by ourselves--it must have been fri night because Dave takes the kids every fri night. Matt was asleep and I was up watching something when someone banged hard on the side door. Scared to death I tried to wake Matt up--he being the man of the house now---didn't budge. So I slowly walked over in the kitchen and could see the arm and face near the bottom of the door of my neighbor Jen banging on the door. So I opened the door and could hear them running up the hill. On the porch was this poster and cute frog asking Matt to MORP. My baby boy is going on his first date!!!!!! I know I'm pathetic--oh well!

just an FYI I have had a bad cold since last wed. I went to the doc yesterday and found out I have pneumonia---but I'm getting better. Thank heavens! My kids have been a lot of help--especially Brooke. Thanks honey!

CQD: these seem to be all Brooke. She said "Mom, I know how you can take care of all my tardies in the morning, just come into the office and they'll excuse me if you tell them I had a concussion."
