OUCH!

Box Elder played BR wednesday---ya I don't want to hear it all you BR fans! We lost by about 20-JV and Varsity. Matt did a good job. His friend even heard his name on the radio when he was playing in the varsity game. I wasn't going to take the little boys to the game, but Jack assured me that if we went to the JV game, we could get in free. He was wrong--it cost me $17! Jack bought a ticket for a dollar to have a chance at some money at half time. They choose 3 people to shoot from 3 diff spots--if they make it, they win money. Jack's name was called 1st so he went up and made the foul shot and won 20 bucks!--no one else made any. So he paid for the game (he doesn't know that yet! :) JK--I'll let him keep it!)

The kids wrote their letters to Santa the other night. They were so cute! Matt asked for the impossible (so he wrote) a jeep, and bball & lacrosse skills beyond comprehension. Of course he also asked for chocolate! Brooke is good with clothes, Jack asked for a bunch of things including jerky and rum--jk santa! (that's what he wrote). Porter asked for sports, sports, and more sports stuff! Heber wants a 'computer that kind of works' (guess he's used to my laptop!)
and all Eli wanted was cake. Kids are so funny and so fun at this time of year!!!

Tonight is our first Christmas party---our ward dinner. should be fun!

The weekend

Friday Heber got his cast off!!! He was a little nervous because he thought Judy was going to saw his arm off. But then he was upset because she got his shirt and pants all dusty! Eli was just goofin around the whole time.

Matt had a game friday night in Orem. All of the teams lost. Bummer

The kids stayed at Dave's friday night--I was just going to watch movies while I caught up on the laundry but Jess came and rescued me! It is always fun to see her.

Sat morning, Jess n Brooke went shopping. I went to work--which was a blast. I might be pathetic, but I seriously love working at Kents. All the people who work there are awesome! And I love talking to the shoppers. I guess I just love being around people!

Jack had a bball tourney--they played the 8th grade girls teams and won it! He was so excited about his trophy he has to add to his growing collection!

My kids are so stinkin cute!!!!

Bees Rule!!!!!! Matt has played 3 games so far. The first was the purple and white game, then against Hunter High, then he played one at Weber High. At Weber, he played against his best friend from kindergarten--it was fun to see them all grown up together! His team hasn't won yet (I'm sure he wouldn't want me writing that). But they are fun to watch and are doing a great job. In the game against Hunter, our team was down by 1 with only about 30 seconds left in the game. Someone fouled Matt so he was at the line. He was cool and smooth :). He made both foul shots and brought his team back on top. But the other team had just enough time to score and win. Crap! Oh well, we have like a bajillion games left. We'll win!

The Dominator (Brooke's bball name) has played 4 games already. JK she doesn't have a bball name--just did that for her benefit! She played the purple and white game where she was the shot blockin babe. Until she sprained her ankle--so she hasn't been able to play a whole lot in the other games. Her team won 2 out of 4 so far. She is enjoying it--all but the 5:30 practices in the morning! She is not my morning child! She is doing better with it though.

This is a pic of some of the fans. I think it is awesome that the boys her age come to support the freshman girls!

quiet day

I got a new computer!!! Yes I was at Walmart at 4:30 on black friday!--never do that again, unless I have a crew with me. So I spent a quiet day messing with my computer. The kids were at their dad's house and I just cleaned and did the laundry while I watched Ann of Green Gables. I absolutely love that show!!! Today it was the continuing story, which is my favorite. It is a little more worldly than the earlier shows, but it makes you feel so much! It was kind of torture for me, but I just love the love story!!!!

um--this comp doesnt' have a card reader on it--lame I know. So no pics until I get a usb plug in thingy.

I'm back

What's been going on: Jess is in school and she's doing good. We get to see her once in awhile--she is having fun and working hard. Matt made the bball team and plays JV and Varsity. His first game was a very exciting game against Hunter High but we lost by one!!!! I'm still waiting for him to dunk it in a game--you can do it!!!
Brooke made the freshman bball team and is doing great--especially for not really ever playing before. In her first game, her dad told her that he would give her a dollar for every blocked shot, basket or rebound she got, by half time, she was up to 11 dollars! Also by half time she was out of the game with a sprained ankle--yes I told her she didn't need ankle braces, just high tops. We are going to get the braces by her next game! She is so funny, she said "why doesn't everyone block shots? It's so fun!"
Jack is taking a break from bball for dec. His team won the league--they were undefeated until the last game and they lost by one! He is liking school and is doing very well in art.
Porter, Heber and Eli are all doing great--we are all trying to adjust to me working. I have some wonderful friends who volunteered to help me with the boys while I work. And the boys really enjoy going to their houses! Thanks so much!
So that's what's going on, not too exciting, just busy. I have found though, that I get more done around the house when I am so busy. I really appreciate everyone who is helping me in anyway!!! I love you!

Matt at the Homecoming Dance

Matt asked a girl named Carly from Weber High to the Homecoming dance. Brooke and I made dinner and served them which was way better than any restaraunt! Oh he doubled with his friend Robert and Carly's friend Rachel. They were very nice girls and they all looked like they had a good time! It was really fun for us to serve them!

Happy Birthday Porter!!!!!!!!

It was porter's

9th birthday! I can't believe he is so old! We just watched some home movies of him when he was almost 2. We would ask him his name and he would say " Porpie du bumbum!"

We had sloppy joe's for dinner and he wanted blueberry cheesecake for dessert. He got a pair of lacross gloves and balls from Jess, some bball shoes and a bball from his dad and Mandy, then he got a light sabor and football from Scott and me. And a bunch of candy and gum from the other kids. Spoiled! He deserves it!

I love you porter!

First Day of School

Back to the old routine!!! Hurray!!! I don't like having the kids gone all day! but it's nice to have a regular bedtime and wakeup time! I got up at 5:30, got the kids up and 6. Loaded them ALL in the Suburban and around 7 and drove to Brigham. We dropped Brooke off first at the Middle School. I rolled down the window as she was leaving and we all yelled "goodbye Brooke! We love you!!!" she was so embarrassed--it was great! Then we drove to the High School and dropped Matt off. We did the same to him, but he yelled "Bye! I love you too!" (it takes a lot to embarrass him!) Then we drove to the intermediate school and dropped Jack off--I hate leaving them on the first day in the big school! We drove back to Bear River and dropped Porter off at the elementary. When we got home Heber asked if I could take him to school now--we'd just be a few min early. His first day of kindergarten--we still had to wait 3 more hours! Dave came and took him for his first day, Eli put his school clothes on and his backpack and was all ready to go with him--I felt so bad that he couldn't go, he was kinda sad! Also, Jess started college today. So I have kids in 5 different schools--wow!

bear naked, bear, bear, naked, bear naked lake!!!!

That's what my kids sing everytime we come over the top of the hill and see bear lake for the first time. Dave and Mandy took the kids up to Bear Lake for the week. Jess and I drove up Tues and came home Wed. It was so nice!

Happy Birthday Brookie!!!!! cont.

We found these cool bubbles that don't pop. They look like they are messy, but they just wipe off. Cool huh?

Happy Birthday Brookie!!!!!

Wow she's 14! She is so tall and beautiful--she's 5'11'' and doesn't dare measure again. I took her and her cousin Kelsey to the mall. We had so much fun! If that's possible at the mall! Brooke has such a cute personality! These are the clothes she picked out--not too many women, let alone teenagers could get away with this look, but she pulls it off beautifully--just like her sister! She has always had her own style!

July Ring(s) of the Month

These are a couple I got--one to wear on the fourth of July. I got them in SL when I went to the airport to pick up Scott. We were driving around trying to find a place to eat. I said "aren't we in West Valley?" He said yeah (he used to live there a LONG time ago) I said "Isn't this a scary place?" He laughed and said no. We went into the mall and were shopping for a while and he said "Do you notice something?" I said "what, that we are the only white people in here?" Things had really changed since he had been there. I was just glad that he is so big and strong!!!!

Bball camp again?

Matt had the wonderful opportunity (thanks to his generous coaches) to attend all the bball camps Box Elder offered this year. He is the tallest on all the teams at BE and the coaches want him to get all the experience he can. (thanks to his mom, he didn't grow up playing on comp teams! Sorry Matt) this will be his 3rd year playing. So he's doing pretty dang good! He went to Pocatello, Roy, BE, USU and BYU camps. He was pretty excited to play in the Spectrum at USU.

I know my photography skills are lacking!

oops I forgot one

cute pics of the kids

We are being over taken by fowl!!!!

The kids came in the house yelling and screaming (the good kind--although sometimes it's hard to tell the difference--I couldn't see blood which was a good sign) They took me outside back to the goose field and I saw 14 darling ducklings!!!!
They are teenage sized now if any of you are interested they are free.

June Ring of the Month

My wonderful friends Kim and Heather gave me my June ring of the month. They were out shopping and saw this and thought it would go great with my collection. I love it! Thanks guys!

I also found a new place to get my nails done for those of you who are interested (actually Mandy told me about it). They did them exactally how I wanted--I don't like them too thick---and it was 20 bucks for a new set. I just barely got them done again and they still looked great after 4 weeks! It is in Ogden at 5 points. It's called Expo Nails. It is a bunch of Asian ladies and the only thing is, they don't talk to you. My friend Becky said she prefers it that way so she doesn't have to figure out what they are saying to her!

A Totally Long Awaited Update to My Fabulous Blog!

Ok.....sorry my computer was being a turd. It's working for today so I'll hurry and update while I can. They will each be short and sweet because I've got so much to post!!!!

Jess graduated!!!!! Holy Cow she's all grown up! She looked so beautiful and smart in her cap and gown. When they said congrats to them at graduation, she was one of the first to throw her cap! She was so ready to graduate! She moved out a couple days after that and has been having the time of her life! We asked her the other day how life was being on her own. She put both thumbs up and said "and if I had more thumbs, I'd use them!" I'm glad she is having such a great time! (although I have to admit--it's tough on me sometimes. I miss being a bigger part of her life)

Outstanding Boy

Jack did get a pretty hairy award!!! He got the Most Outstanding Boy award and Mckenzie Stacey got the Most Outstanding Girl. We have great kids don't we Andrea? When Matt found out he said "When you guys get married you'll be the Outstanding Couple." Jack just smiled. He also got the Outstanding Academic Excellence and another couple of brainiac awards and an art one. I was so proud of him. He's not the only one getting awards. Porter got an Excellent Behavior award. Except no one called and told me about his award so I didn't come to his assembly so when he found out I went to Jacks, he was a little upset. Why do mom's make mistakes??? The kids would be so much happier if we didn't!

Brookie had her last choir concert of the year. She did a good job! But what was really fun to se was Seth Stacey and Andy Womack dancing!!!!! It was awesome!

Darling Bags

Ok I found these cute bags at Dollar Tree and use them for scripture bags and purses--I just wanted to share. For a dollar, you can have a bag for every day of the week!!!

Ring of the Month

My May ring---they were having a Memorial Day sale so I got this one for 8 bucks! Bonus!!!!

Porter Pie---Heber Jeeber---leigeheh (thanks brooke!)

is a little smarty. He is getting better and better at bball. He has to to be able to play with his brothers. We are all looking forward to summer and all the fun!!!

Heber and Eli have been keeping me busy! Eli is always going a million miles an hour. He can't eat anything without putting some kind of foreign object in his food. He has put beads up his nose and beans in his ears. He loves to repeat all the wonderful things his brothers say. In church on Sunday, he had to go out because he kept saying (and of course he doesn't know what a quiet voice is) haha loser!! to Heber over and over! And Heber is as good as ever. He gets frustrated with Eli but he is a good, kind boy--he has to be to put up with eli!

Jack Jack

Jack has been doing well in school--there is an assembly tomorrow so I'll let you know what kind of award he gets. It might be a pretty hairy award because they told us to invite family. Ok we'll see. He will be going to basketball camp in a couple of weeks and is excited for that. He told me he is not going to play football this year. He really didn't enjoy it last year.

sorry no pic

Brookie Wookie

Let's see....Brooklyn has just been busy with school and socializing. She is growing like a weed and hates it!!! She is now about 5'10" and would rather be 4 feet tall. She is so excited for school to get out. She is going to volleyball camp next month--we'll see if she likes that. I think she'll be good at it.
p.s. from brooklyn: dont believe my mom. i love school! and by the way i went to ISS (in school suspension) it was fabulous i hope a can go there again, i really adore mrs allen.
